Wash In 04:10
What happened to the time That I thought I had so much of left? To finish this song I thought it was so long. So long. What time is it now? I thought I had so much left in this dream Please don’t wake me. I want to hallucinate some more Please. And it feels like forever That I’ve been in a daze Watching waves wash up and float away A hand in the river Does it move or do I? What does it matter if I’m alive? Wash in and float away Just like a dream Wash in and float away Just like a song Wash in and float away Just like a day

Moon Jumper 04:12
Watching old movies Through a slideshow in my mind’s eye A single frame at a time Twenty birds on a statue in New York Drinking white claws all night in Jarry Park I remember everything I’m forgetting everything else Can’t I make this last somehow? I remember Jumping on the moon At the bottom of a river Holding stones Trying to forget The end of the weekend I remember Driving with a ghost Out to Elora Lime Green Water Trying to forget This won’t last forever

The Big City 03:36

I don’t want for anyone find My small flame My crematorium Disintegrate my body shame. My greatest fears. Mistakes. Is it at the cost of my memories? Is it at the cost of my memories? Is it at the cost of my memories? Is it at the cost of my memories?

Super Tired 04:04
Lines, drive, wait, time, pay, watch, pray, sleep, work, raise, boss, off, on, clock in. Two hands, palms towards the clouds. Two feet, firmly planted on the ground. Two eyes aching for the night. To earn time. To earn. You’ll always go it alone, always waiting for something to break. You’ll always go it alone, always praying for anything at all. You’ll always go it alone, always waiting to not be super tired.

about

This album was made for the 2024 RPM Challenge. It was recorded, performed, and written (for the most part) throughout this past February. It’s the first songwriter style material I’ve put together in over 6 years and I’m feeling very happy about it. This music seems to have to do with memory, dreams, change, and fatigue. Writing this has felt like a kind moment to reflect and reconcile with the past several years. I recently moved from Montréal back to New Brunswick and I feel that this has played a large part in the writing process. It's a strange and wonderful thing to participating in change. I’m glad that it has had an impact on my creative brain.
